Aintree Racecourse is known to millions worldwide as the home of the Crabbie’s Grand National – The World’s Greatest Steeplechase.
The Grand National Meeting is now established as one of the great racing festivals. In early April each year, the world and its media descend upon Aintree Racecourse for three of the biggest days in the British sporting and social calendar, The Grand National, which in 2018 will take place from Thursday 12 – Saturday 14 April.
A British sporting institution, the Grand National attracts over 154,000 racegoers for three days like no other, which includes Grand Opening Day, Ladies Day and of course Grand National Day.
The 2017 race saw 40 riders compete for a share of a £1,000,000 prize fund, which made the National the most valuable jump race in Europe. Rule the World won the race in an enthralling contest.
