Corporate board dinner
In January 2013, the team at Oliver Myles Events were tasked with organising a board dinner and exclusive event – with just six hours’ notice!
Ordinarily, an event for 15 board members who were flying in from countries such as India and America, months of planning would be undertaken to ensure the activities planned for the leaders of this leading organisation were managed to the finest detail. However, when the call came in stating the objective was a “uniquely British event with dinner afterwards”, the team at OME leapt into action.

In spite of the time challenge presented, Oliver Myles still had time to gather ideas, prices and availability for three different “events” and three different gastronomic experiences.
The experience selected by the client was:
- Private tour of the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London. As uniquely British as fish and chips, “Last night of the Proms” and Yorkshire Pudding, this event was secured so the 15 board members could view the Jewels in privacy and a closeness that many others would never experience. Escorted by Yeoman Warders, the board members experienced first-hand understanding of the story and the intimacy behind the jewels and their importance to the United Kingdom.
- At the conclusion of the tour, the guests were escorted by chauffeured executive travel to the celebrated Pont de La Tour restaurant, overlooking the River Thames and Tower Bridge in all its moonlit glory.
- At this celebrated eating establishment, the guests dined on Tian of Dorset Crab, Roasted Rack of Lamb and drank sumptuous accompanying wines that accompanied their evening perfectly.
