Royal Ascot at Home – Thursday 18 June – Ladies Day

18 June 2020

We know that people are missing their summer events, the big occasions like Chelsea Flower Show, Wimbledon and Henley Royal Regatta which we will not be able to enjoy until summer 2021.

One of the first sports to resume, behind close doors, is horse racing and Royal Ascot will be going ahead as planned albeit without spectators this year.

Join us at home with unique access to racing professionals

We have been able to secure the services of racing professional Simon Double to host a unique zoom Royal Ascot occasion.

Simon has a wealth of experience in the racing industry having been managing successful racing syndicates at the highest level for 25 years.

He has worked with many of the country’s leading trainers, co-founded Pat Eddery Racing with the former 11-times champion jockey and set up his own company Solario Racing ten years ago.

Your day

Simon will take you through the daily form guide during our racing preview on Zoom. He will update you with the latest going report, including the news and views of the trainers and jockeys and what to look out for.

His interview with a jockey will give you an insider’s insight, that you would not normally get if you were there in person.

Then sit back and enjoy full coverage of the racing on your own TV, broadcast by ITV. Your Oliver Myles host will stay with you on Zoom and you can chat to your fellow guest to compare results.

There will also be a tipster competition for you with a fine bottle of Champagne for the winner.

We haven’t forgotten the fashion

So you do not miss out on the chance to pop on your best bib and tucker we have asked award-winning London-based milliner, Mary Spiteri, to join us to give some tips on how to choose a hat that works for you and to judge the best hat competition.

Your day will include:

• Royal Ascot Daily Form Guide via email
• Racing Preview on Zoom with clients
• Intvu with jockey on Zoom
• Best Dressed Hat Competition – judged by professional milliner
• Racing Review 5.00-5.30pm – including result of tipster competition
